Kafir Lime is a tropical fruit, native to Thailand. Leaves are widely used in Thai cooking. Added to the main dishes and also in Soups (Tom Yum Soup) & Sauces. Kafir Lime Leaves also hold high values in Local Traditional Herbal remedies. It in known to help in detoxifying blood.
Oral Health : Kafir Lime Leaves helps on Oral Health, They are directly rubbed on Teeth to eliminate bacteria that build up in the mouth. Oil is mixed with toothpaste to promote Oral & gum health care.
Ingredients : Kafir Lime Leaf Essential oil.
The strong flavour is due to the high concentration of alkaloids, citronellal, limonene, nerol, and other phytochemicals.
Main Chemical constituents : β–citronellal, L-linalool, β-citronellol, citronelyl acetate and sabinene
Blends with : Kaffir lime essential oil blends well with most citrus oils such as orange, lemon, lime, Camphor, Cedarwood, Clary sage, Eucalyptus, Frankincense, Lavender, Marjoram, Rosemary Ylang Ylang etc.,
Properties : help detoxify blood, promote good oral health, stimulate digestive system, reduce appearance of scars and wrinkles, Reduces stress, good insect repellent, strengthen immune system and good for hair & scalp,(Reduces baldness) Anti-inflammatory.
Contradictions : We do not recommend intake of any Essential oils directly. As it may result in nausea, vomiting, dizziness, light-headedness, and other unpleasant side effects. Essential oils are very volatile substances and thus should always be mixed with Base or carriers oils before applying them on skin. Other than that, there are no reported side effects of kaffir lime use.
Do not use any Essential oils during Pregnancy or Breast feeding. Always consult an Aromatherapist, Herbalist or a Medical practitioners before using Essential oils
