Himalayan Bitter Apricot Kernels – Just to inform that our Apricot Kernels do comply with the MHRA or Trading Standard’s Norms
INCI : Prunus armeniaca
Origin : Kashmir (India) – (Humza Region)
Apricot Kernels can be eaten raw (They are Bitter though), either broken or Powdered and sprinkled over the salads.
My personal suggestion – Put these Kernels into the Jar of Honey along with Single Seed Himalayan Garlic. The Honey is left over for at least 14 days and you can eat two cloves of each (Kernels & Garlic) in the morning & 2 in the evening.
This Honey not only removes the bitterness, but also makes the Kernels & Garlic eatable.
This in fact becomes a medicated honey.
Since our Apricot Kernels are from the Himalayas and are more bitter in taste, when compared to the Bitter Apricot Kernels from other parts of the world. This Himalayan range is the same as of the Humza Region.
The “FDA” (Food & Drug Association UK & USA) have suggested not to intake more than 1 or 2 in any 24 hours as safe consumption. Although again depending on the body weight. 4 to 6 can be consumed in 24 hours (two to be taken 3 times a day)
