Herbasense’s Viola odorata Wax is a by-product of the Absolute manufacture. Violet Concrete is produced from the fresh Leaves & flowers in Egypt by solvent Extraction (Food grade Hexane is used). Then Waxes are separated with pure Ethanol, leaving hardly any traces of the Solvent an absolute is produced
Odour : The smell may not same as flowers. It has a strong, green, leafy aroma with a hint of violet flowers.
The chemical constituents of violet leaf absolute are complex and vary depending on the plant’s growing conditions and the extraction method used. However, some of the major components include:
Violet Wax is the amazingly wonderful smelling solid, & creamy wax derived from Violet Leaves & Flowers.
Violet wax can be used a candle (very highly priced though). It can be added to creams, balms and lotions, it lends thickness and a beautiful aroma.
Recommended usage : Between 3%(massage oil blends) to 15%(Creams Balms & Lotions) depending upon each formulations.
